Class Time:

8pm till 9pm

Class Structure:
Pilates is a form of exercises designed to strengthen the core muscles; abdominals, pelvic floor, and back. It has its background in dance and promotes a strong and pain free back with good posture and suppleness. Please bring a mat or towel and wear comfortable clothing.

Payment:
All classes £5 each to be paid in blocks of 5 or £6 each individually. 
Classes to be paid in blocks of 5, £5 per class, 14 week term. . 
No half term break.

As well as creating all the choreography for the Burlesque Cardiff shows Stephanie, (FooFooLaBelle) teaches workshops in different styles including Show Girl and Chair dancing, CanCan, Charleston and Burlesque.   

The chorus of dancers in our shows are gleaned from FooFooLaBelle's classes, many of which then go on to become soloists.

  1. Oriental Choreography, technique and takisim.
    How to break down and dance to a piece of modern classical Egyptian music.

  2. Turkish 9/8.
    Learn a belly dance to "Rompi Rompi" a well known Turkish folk piece in 9/8 rhythm.

  3. Dancing with veil and double veil. Includes learning a piece.

  4. Working with finger cymbals.
    Learn the rhythms needed to use Zils or Sagat successfully in your dancing.

  5. Dancing with a Sword.

  6. Learn a tabla solo.

  7. Pilates, posture and Arabic dance.

  8. Stage craft and direction.

Stephanie Gawne-Hamza is a popular and nationally renown choreographer and dance teacher based in Cardiff, she has a broad experience teaching dance to all abilities and ages and have a comprehensive health and fitness knowledge. She teaches in a variety of different styles, such as Turkish, Arabic Gypsy and Tribal.  Stephanie is always available for Private Lessons, Choreography and Workshops in these sebjects:

All classes are full mind/body workouts with warm-up, a comprehensive drill sections,

choreography and stretches.

Beginners: 6.15-7.30pm.

Improvers: 7.45pm till 9pm.

Class Structure:
A warm up, mobilizing the joints & warming up the muscles. 
"Drill", repeating hip and upper body moves so they become effortless and precise.
Traveling steps & Choreography,
Cool Down & Stretches.
Please wear a soft shoe as the floor is a bit rough and wear comfy clothes
